Grid Game Rule Changes
« on: March 16, 2016, 12:08:44 PM »
Dare and I are always looking to improve the Grid Game and to this end there has been a few of changes for 2016 which you should be made aware of.

1. Qualifying deadline: If you miss the qualifying deadline you may still go on to place your race picks in the normal way. You will of course forfeit the chance to predict the pole position driver and any related points (see below). It always seemed wrong to Dare and I that if you missed qualifying then you lost the entire race, this has now been rectified.

2. Pole Position: Correct pole position prediction is now worth 2 points.

3. Race Entry Page: Confirmation that you have correctly entered your predictions now appears at the top AND the bottom of the page to make it less confusing.

If you have any questions then please ask.

Good luck!

I know it's a bit late, but maybe we consider it for next season...a point or two for choosing the Constructors race winner - i.e. most points per constructor.  Not a big difference, and in fact if Merc keeps their stats going, it would just be a bonus point.

Anyway, like I said, probably too late to bother with something like that for this season, but something to keep in mind for next year.

And maybe a point for guessing the total number of cars in each race that the stewards penalize after the race is over.  ;)

I have always thought that a wet race should be decided on at least one car doing a lap on wets they do not put then on unless its wet enough!

We've found that the chat room is the best place to make calls on things like rain and DNF's when we don't all agree with the FIA officials.  If you want to be part of the team who make the calls, simply join us in the chat room during the race.  I know you're around the world Andy, but at least for the Oz race, it should be good timing.   :D :D :good:

For most of the races Scott its early am here so I watch them recorded before I know the result it also makes the GG difficult for selections at times too but that's fine I cope.
Now I have retired I should be able to get on the chat room now and again.

Thanks for posting the changes Wizzo.  Everything looks good to me.  My view is that no further adjustments are required.
