Why my son thinks I'm a nutcase...
« on: August 24, 2016, 09:41:16 PM »
I've been doing a ton of mountain biking this summer and threw the old GoPro on the handlebars for one of my downhill runs that starts most of my bike tours in the area (I have to get to the valley floor to start most of them).  Hope you enjoy.  We start in the hotel parking lot.

And for the record, I've only landed on my nose once this summer and I mostly hurt my leg (it's better now).  A few close calls, but that's what makes it fun.

Great stuff, Scott. The scenery is amazing. It looks like quite a ride.

I'll bet it's also quite a climb riding all the way back up at the end of the ride.  :swoon:

As Cos said, great scenery Scott, but, I'd have to tend to agree with your son 'Nutcase'  :tease:

You think I'm crazy?  I take the train home.   :D (after 20-30km in the valley.

Can't beat a bit of biking, go out for about 100k a week, are you using Strava?

Oddly, most of the bike trails I ride over here are built on abandoned rail lines. The Rails-to-Trails movement is very large over here.

Err, make that two crashes this year...just home from Emergency with a stitch in my arm, swollen thumb and apparently I left some skin and a glass full of blood back on the trail.  Bike's ok though.   :D :D
