Tilke has designed a lot of crap tracks and a couple that are OK. But imagine Monza with the cars being flat from the Parabolica through Curva Grande and down to the Lesmos. or Spa without that nasty business before the start line. They say they are worried about the speed, but aero bits effectively limit the speeds of the cars to around 225 MPH. The drivers just plow over the curbs or short cut them and the flow of the circuit is interrupted if noy destroyed. BLEAH!!

Oh I agree, I dislike them immensely, they do not add to the spectacle and seem to do very little to bunch the cars up or create overtaking opportunities in the straights afterwards, so to me they are pointless.

I agree about the chicanes. The only purpose I can see for them is to "dumb down" the tracks.

The worst are the two bus stops on the Mulsanne.

I'm all in favour of the French Grand Prix coming back, but I am very dubious about which configuration of the Paul Ricard circuit will be used.  Thus far, the signs of them choosing an exciting one are not encouraging.
