Nothing like a poll to check if your in agreement with fellow GPW's or maybe you know more than the rest of us.
For me its between Wehrlein and Bottas but like everyone else I'll have to wait and see.

I am going with the fantasy of Button joining Mercedes for a year,  would love to see but realise I won't.

My heart says Jenson, my head says Jenson.   :D  :D  :D

But the heads of Merc GP will go for Sainz, Perez or as a last resort Pascal.

Merc will buy out Carlos' contract from RBR, Bernie will lean on Mateschitz to release him for the good of F1...... or Checco's sponsors will offer to swap Guittierez into the FIF1 to keep the massive funding there and Merc will pay handsomely to the Silverstone outfit too.

Mind you I'd like to see André Lotterer given another chance to prove he is every bit as good as the current F1 pilots, he certainly had a good showing in practice & quali in his only F1 outing at Spa 2014 in the rubbish Caterham.  :D

I wouldn't mind seeing either Sainz or Perez at Mercedes.I'd
really like to see Button their and have a proper last year in F1

I think that Mercedes is going to go with the lowest cost option.

They've got a solid chance at another champion with Hamilton.  If the car is dominant, then the second driver won't make much of a difference.  If the car isn't, it's probably a one year contract anyway.

Don't know about the lowest cost, but they won't pay a premium to break a contract for a Vettel or Bottas. Since they have been sponsoring Ocon and Wehrlein it will probably be one of them.

Another fact that would make McLaren and Williams unlikely to let Alonso and Bottas go it will leave both teams with inexperienced drivers and with all the regulation changes I doubt they can afford to do that.

I agree Andy,  can't see the teams letting either go. It's certainly stirred up the driver market.

They don't want to make it too easy for Juan Pablo to apply.  ;)

Mercedes probably won't want a young inexperienced driver, they have the $ to get the best available driver to continue winning the team championship. If they do want a young racer, Verstappen is my pick. Ideally Vettel would fit in well and carry on the German connection.

They would be the top picks, but I can't see Red Bull or Ferrari letting them go to Mercedes.
