Just for laughs- First it was Instagram..and now Snapchat. Am i too old?

  So the other day my younger sister was telling me to get a snapchat account. Last time i checked instagram was the coolest thing in town. Oh well, i guess we have to keep up. Now all i need is to finally find out how this snapchat app actually works

Ain't age wonderful, somehow I signed up to Twitter, not a clue how or when, plus I've not the slightest interest in Twitter.
Even worse is the tv I'm using as a monitor is stuck on mute and I can't get it off.

Snapchat is for the kids, Instagram I have only to view posts that are otherwise unavailable.  Twitter I use primarily on race weekends to stay in touch with a race if I can't get near a TV.

My own reply to my earlier post, it wasn't the tv that was stuck on mute, my son took one look and said 'Dad, it's not the tv it's your PS3 needs tuning.' He grabs hold of the controller and 10 secs later all is fine, bears out my belief, old fogeys shouldn't mess with technology, let your kids do it for you.

Well, over the weekend i stumbled upon a blog post which i found quite interesting, a brief comparison of instagram and snapchat. I found it useful and thought i might as well share. I guess it's necessary to keep up with modern times.

I understand the technical differences between the various platforms.

What I don't understand is why SnapChat appeals to anyone.  The feature is you can only see things once.  What is the point of that?  Can you imagine if you missed an F1 race you couldn't watch a repeat, or if there was a great pass (you know, under the old rules), you'd never be able to see it again?
