2018 IMSA Schedule - Much Better!
« on: August 05, 2017, 05:54:17 PM »
IMSA announced their 2018 schedule for the Weaather Tech series. Unlike most such announcements any more, this one is a huge improvement.

In response to fan requests, the series will return to Mid Ohio Sports Car Course!  :yahoo:

Mid Ohio was one of only two circuits that was on both ALMS & Grand Am calendars prior to unification. (The other was Lime Rock Park) It has been absent since the start of the new format. IMSA head Scott Atherton said that the change was in response to the huge volume of fan requests to return to the venue.

The Continental Tire Series will also share the date.

The return of Mid Ohio was also a win-win situation for the fans. It replaces an old cow pasture somewhere in Texas.
