Hey, Scott! You're getting a new neighbor.

Hey, Scott! You're getting a new neighbor.

He's lived in Gstaad for decades.  He's got a rather large "chalet" there that could sleep 20 or so.  The news should be simply that he is closing down his London office and apartment.  He was one of the main instigators to have a small Swiss customs office put up in Gstaad airport so he could fly directly in, instead of having to first land in Geneva or Zurich to clear customs.  Gstaad is very likely one of the smallest international airports in the world thanks to Bernie.  A friend of mine lives in Gstaad and has told me Bernie is mostly ignored by the locals, but known to be a bit of a grump.  We had coffee in his hotel when we were there (pre renovations, I guess), and it was one of those timeless lounges that could have been anywhere from the 30's to the 80's.
