Force India Cries Foul.
« on: March 30, 2018, 05:34:30 PM »
Maybe I should shorten the title to just "Farce Force India Cries."

FIF1 claims that, since Haas is beating them like a cheap rug, Haas must be cheating.

Poor babies!  :'(

Yup! ... just as I mentioned in another topic on GPWizard, it looks like the "team bickering" has started real early in 2018.   Here we were thinking all the negative energy would be surrounding the Halo!!!!  :DD

At least we are not talking about Shark Fins or TV Aerials on the back on the cars.

All the best,
Cal :)

I'm a Force India fan and even I don't agree with them on this one. Haas got its success fair and square. Complaining about occasions where (almost) success is gained the right way undermines authority when complaining about people who are actually doing it wrong...

Exactly!!!!

... and of course, the minute FI step out of line in 2018 (and they may do so?) ... Haas will be at the front of the line with their complaints card, where they would be justified in voicing their case!!!

All the best,
Cal :)

Up to this point, Haas has generally been too dignified to make a complaint against anyone not actively trying to damage them at that specific moment. That may change, but for now, I think they'd leave complaining about Force India to others (as FIF1 can't really damage Haas from three rows further back...)

Speaking of Force India, has anyone heard anything more about the situation surrounding the team 'name change' ... or has all the rumours settled down since the Rich Energy flap?

All the best,

So far HAAS has been running a high quality organization, both in terms of on track performance and off track comportment.  They are the template on how to create a brand new F1 team.  (As versus the 2010 debacle.  Even Toyota missed the mark, but they did put in the effort.)

Having HAAS succeed is probably more important for the sport's financial health than any new circuit they can run at.

Ultimately (with the US market in mind) ... Liberty Media would "love" to have two solid venues within the United States, HAAS performing in a strong mid to front of field .. and of course, the toughest nut to crack, a competitive US based driver!!
