Ugliest looking thing I think they've ever put on an F1 car.  >:D

I'm glad to see the Alfa Racing Quadrifoglio on the scoop.

I don't really mind the Halo.

I think I'd like to see the halo painted to match the drivers' helmets.  It's going to be harder to see who's in the car, so this will add that little bit of personality back to the sport.

I think I've told you my safety-based objections to Halo earlier, so all I can say here is that this car looks sleeker, but less detailed, than the Ferrari.

I still can't see how the halo doesn't partially
block the drivers view. Imagine it right in front
of steering wheel in your passenger car.

My first thought as well Dare.

I’m just glad there’s a couple of Saubers on the grid.  And I like the Alfa logo on the engine cover.

F1 drivers are rarely concerned with what's immediately in front of their car.  If they're passing, or being passed, it means the car they're worried about is beside them.  When turning they're watching apexes (apecies?) which again, aren't in front of the car.

Sure, they have to be worried about oncoming walls, but those are fairly visible around the bar.

If you look at recent F1 cars, they have antennae and cameras mounted along the same field of vision that the halo is 'blocking', so the drivers are used to that being a bling spot.  Perhaps smaller, but not as dangerous as putting a beam directly in front of a passenger car.

I agree...the little bit blocked out in front of them is basically useless anyhow.  The design of the halo also gives the upright in the middle a very thin profile, I doubt any thicker than the pitot tube that is usually sitting right in front of them. I doubt the drivers are bothered by any change in their field of vision.

I do like the paint job of the Alfa/Sauber this season, very neat and tidy (not overpowering like some teams!).

All the best,
Cal :)

I really like the livery on this year's Sauber and the car looks tidy enough, but I am not convinced by the driver line up.  Ericsson is solid, but unspectacular, while Leclerc has gone off regularly in testing.  I hope that the team can move forward this year, but I am not sure.
