Red Bull Global Rallycross Shuts Down
« on: April 18, 2018, 06:56:47 PM »
The Red Bull Global Rallycross series will not hold a 2018 season. It looks like they've left a string of unpaid bills in their wake.

The series was notable to F1 fans because it was won for the last three seasons by Scott Speed. Speed was the last American F1 driver. Tanner Foust of the American version of Top Gear placed second the last two years.

The series was televised over here. They put on a good show with some fine racing. I'll miss it.

Wild to turn the clock back and remember that Scott Speed's brief, but poor appearance in F1 lead to him being dropped half way through the season ... only to be replaced by Mr Vettel.

Of course, I am sure Liberty Media will be trying to influence the entry of a talented young American driver into F1 in the near future, but it's always been a struggle in recent decades!!

All the best,
Cal :)
