I love the shot of Hartley's Toro Rosso ... it almost appears like an oil painting (mainly based on the zoom level and shear size of the image).

All the best,
Cal :)

Thanks for the compliments on the pics - they're a lot more grainy when they are full size. I must remember to shrink the next lot a bit more - off to Montreal for the June race so watch out for more from that one  :good:

The cut in half Ferrari is of course a consequence of the panorama pan - a la Google Streetview. We were on turn 11 - the first turn of the infield section towards the end of the lap.

Ah ok, I didn't make it around to that end of the track during the weekend, so I didn't recognise it.

For Montreal I hope you are in Grandstand 11 the view from there is outstanding.

Make sure you are wearing your GP Wizard T-shirt with flashing lights on it, so we can see you when Sky Sports pans the grandstands, looking for a little kid crying because Kimi is exiting yet another race in 2018!!

Giant foam hands would help us pick you out in the crowd too!!  :DD

All the best,
Cal :)

Sorry Cal, I know you’re new this year, but the rule is all GPW-ers attending GP’S must be shirtless with GPW across their chest in grease paint.  Part of the terms and agreement you checked the box for when you signed up.

12 was my other option and you'll have a great view from there its about the furthest walk from the entrance though and you can walk the track after the race and see the bits only marshals see. If you are to the righthand side of 12 you maybe able to see down the pit straight but you're in a good place especially at the start.

.... I must have glossed over when reading that part of the TOS.  So, if we go with Greased Paint "GPW" ... are we permitted tobacco sponsorship underneath it, or did that option go up in smoke???  :DD

All the best,
Cal :)

Those T&C's are the only reason I don't go to races that often.  Nothing to do with the crippling costs  :swoon:
