Marko claims Ricciardo has no choice but to stay
« on: June 28, 2018, 05:23:41 PM »
If I was Ricciardo, I would bolt and never look back.  Take a "#2" role at Ferrari (and get past Vettel on every occasion, regardless of team orders) or #1 at Renault (unlike Marko, I am sure if Ricciardo came knocking, they would clear the table for him and name him and pay him as #1).

Marko is such an arrogant idiot.

Yikes.  Mercedes and Ferrari have both demonstrated that 'number one' is flexible based on who's winning.  If a newcomer joined Mercedes and outperformed Hamilton, he'd be given the keys to the kingdom (and of course have to deal with Lewis's mind games, which I don't see as a problem for Ricciardo).

Ferrari is a little tougher, they do have a clear favourite, but they'll get behind success.

I've never liked the guy (Helmut Marko) ... going back to the early days (Vettel v Webber).

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Pulling the Sauber sponsorship over Enrique Bernoldi being snubbed in favour of Kimi Raikkonen wasn't a great omen...

Smart move would be to only agree for one year...IMO.  I think he will have more options next year, especially after he kicks Max’s behind in the rest of the season.

Marko's been in a foul mood ever since he took
a rock to the eye. Mellow with age Marko

Exactly!!! .. there will be little driver changes in 2019, but beyond that, top team slots may open up and better options for Danny Ric may become available by 20/21 ???

Cal :)
