To me it is now just a point of principle to disagree with JV.

For a while you could tell that Hamilton was saying things over the radio just to see what 'sticks', something to be known for, the way Kimi had his 'I know what I'm doing' moment.  (Anyone who has been to a recent race, can you confirm they're STILL selling those shirts?  I bet they are.)

'Love conquers all'?  What does that even mean in a motor racing setting?  He loves that Vettel crashed, could have died?  He loves that his team repaired his car?  He loves that the FIA decided cutting the pit lane entrance wasn't that big a deal?

I do love watching Hamilton drive though.  He really can push things to the limit and then ride that limit.  I don't think anyone else in the sport right now has that capability.  Alsono, Kimi, Vettel, Ricciardo and Max are all capable of brilliance, but not the same consistency.

I haven't seen them on sale but lots at the track are still sporting them  :good:

I'll be keeping an eye out for the "so I'm not allowed to think anymore" shirts now

(Anyone who has been to a recent race, can you confirm they're STILL selling those shirts?  I bet they are.)

Not in the face-to-face booths at Hungary (even the ones outside the track where there's a better range of stock)... ...but you can online, and those shirts clearly sold like hot cakes because, among the non-Ferrari-wearing Kimi supporters, they were the nearest thing they had to a uniform (seriously, there were fewer Finnish flags than "leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" T-shirts... and there were a lot of flags!) A few Kimi fans also wear "Bwoah", "Ice Cream Time" and "I Was Having A ****" [censoring on shirt, that's not just the forum software] from previous Kimi gem quotes/actions.

Nobody wears "Love Conquers All" T-shirts, nor message T-shirts bearing anything else Lewis has ever said, though there were plenty of Hamilton fans in the grandstands as well.

Other highlights from message T-shirt land: "Unless I'm Very Much Mistaken..." (and about 5 different Murray manglings), "You Always Have To Leave The Space", "If You No Longer Go For A Gap When It Exists...", "For Sure" (both the ones I saw had Felipe Massa helmets depicted on them) and a couple of Aussies with "Not Bad For A #2".

My favourite message T-shirt was, however, in Swedish. It translated to "Blame Ericsson [in small print] (especially when it's not his fault"".

Funny to thing Seb and Jv were young well liked youngsters
when they were young racers. I still remember JV when he won Indy.
Max on the other hand....forget about it
