I do agree, to me it is more likely than Sainz getting it who I assumed burnt many bridges when he moved over to Renault last year.  Red Bull seem like a team who do not forget or forgive readily.

I think you'll find it's RBR who used Sainz as a makeweight in settlement with Renault in 2017 to allow Toro Rosso to switch engine to Honda for this year.
