Villeneuve thinks Ferrari should keep Kimi...

Not one to very often agree with JV, in this silly season he seems to be making some sense.

The old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” springs to mind.  Ferrari have 2 drivers in the top 3 rankings.  If it wasn’t for team mistakes or mechanical issues, they would have both top 2 places to themselves arguably.

At the very least Vettel respects Kimi, and it is not likely he would respect any newcomer.

My vote goes to Kimi...and if they don’t keep him, he should move to RBR, which is the only chance RBR have of keeping the points tally anywhere near what it is this year.

I agree. Kimi is still one of the best out there. He deserves a top ride.

Seems like to me we'd really have some exciting races
and season if Hamilton and Vettel would retire. No two
driver series ....for awhile anyway

For once I agree with Jacques, but not perhaps for the same reasons. I think if anyone would make proper use of a second season for development out of the limelight, it will be Charles. If he goes to Ferrari now, he will probably become World Champion. If he goes in 2020... ...I have a feeling he will end up a serial Champion and a legend.

It's worth Ferrari keeping Kimi around for a year, as a long-term investment.

My gut feeling would suggest that Ferrari will hold onto Kimi's services, until he is ready to retire from F1.   Most pundits think this is a crazy move with all the up and coming talent, but it wouldn't surprise me, especially as he plays "Seb's Bitch" very well ... and apart from an occasional outburst/confusion on team radio, doesn't give Ferrari the headaches which other teams' teammates have had to deal with.

Best Regards,
Cal :)
