Interesting to see what a difference these make to the racing - particularly preventing running wide at the exit of turn 1.

It was one (of many) F1 incident that made my blood boil. Anyone can overtake by going off-track if there is no penalty and the 5second penalty was again pointless. However, we have seen Max's alternative to cutting corners - he just rams the other driver off track. I think we all know my, 'when I was young', rants look back at the days when cutting a corner would result in you hitting a wall, barrier or gravel trap and I know the new tracks are safer. However, good drivers still managed to overtake within the confines of those old tracks. Therefore, leaving it to stewards to decide if track limits have been breached and then how big the penalty should be still feels wrong!

I really like this headline to the same story:-

FIA to 'kerb' Verstappen's enthusiasm at COTA.    ;) :D :good:
