Drivers released for testing

Carlos and Kimi will be allowed to test with their new
teams. Do you think it's sour grapes that Red Bull won't allow
Danny the same? With the demigod Max there Danny's exit gives him
something to smile about

That's just absolutely petty. In other words, just what you'd expect from Mateschitz & company.

It may take Danny a while to get used to a car that doesn't ride back to the pits on a rollback.

Really petty.  Even childish.

I think this demonstrates how bitter Red Bull are at losing Daniel. They'd be far better to wish him well and let him test and not make it so obvious it's a huge loss for them.

P.S. Interesting to see the Honda smoking in the STR in quali! Might send a shiver down the spine at RBR.

You can almost taste a repeated flavour of events at Red Bull.  Circumstances "may" be a little different, but I see a pattern going back to the Seb/Webber days and now Max/Danny Ric days.  Of course, Mr Marko has to be part of the fire starter, as far as team harmony is concerned!

I really wish Danny well at Renault and hope the team's progress is more aggressive than teams around them on the grid?

Best Regards,
Cal :)

I really believe Marko is like a 'cancer' in RBR. His dealings with drivers have been harsh and divisive. His clear favouritism (which is often short lived) creates huge egos for the favoured drivers while crushing the confidence of their non-favoured team mates. He did it with Vettel and Webber and I am sure Max's favoured position was part of the reason Daniel decided to leave. I think Pierre Gasly will be made a firm number two driver and I can't see Kvyat being given a fair chance at Toro Rosso because Marko has made it clear he doesn't like him. I still want to see RBR do well next year but I also hope that Renault give Ricciardo a car that lets him show his talent and get into some good points.

Could not agree more Monty.....i'm hoping that Renault can let Daniel realise his full potential. Watching the UK coverage of the Abu Dhabi GP, DC asked Marko about RBR chances of a win/podium and he only referred to Max's chances if he saved his tyres. How disrespectful particularly given DR was ahead on the grid!
I personally hope it blows up in RBRs face - i found it quite amusing that the Toro Rosso engine in Gasly's car appeared to fail. How timely in the last race before RBR take Honda.

They were clearly caught with their pants down with DR leaving - far too arrogant as a team in my opinion.
