Needless to say, I'll be watching that one!  :yahoo:

I have "paint jobs" to carry out for the F1 Dream Team each season, so these last minute changes are a real pain in the ankles!!  |-(

I thought HAAS looked pretty good in 2018, so another change of paint job isn't ideal in my book - but understand that teams don't change the look of their cars on a whim, so see how it goes!

Best Regards,
Cal :)

So ... do you think Alfa Romeo will "borrow" some of the ideas from the past in their 2019 Livery?

So Monday is livery day for Team Willy, not sure I've mentioned it in every other thread yet?   :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

So, whadaya think Luke? ... White, Blue & Red?? ... or Red, Blue and White??? ... maybe even Blue, Red & White????  :DD

.. and just for the record, I was a convincing Williams fan at the end of Mansell's era until the end of Hill's era. Hung in there during Massa/Bottas era.

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Apparently Cal it is going to be white, black and turquoise, based largely I believe on a teaser countdown on their social media.  There is some talk of a communications company becoming the title sponsor, possibly BT given they have mysteriously vanished from the team's partners list.  Another possibility is it will be a US Telecommunications company.

So, you which particular straw was it that broke this particular camel's back in relation to your long term support of Williams?

... I guess when Massa left and Stroll/Sirotkin became the teams best hopes, in a car that turned to ... well, you know the rest friend!!

I'll always have a soft spot for them, but they need a serious kick up the bum and some respectable new talent behind the wheel.

Best Regards,
Cal :)

To be honest another season of Stroll and Sirotkin may have tried my patience, but persevering through Maldonado, Bruno Senna and Kazuki Nakajima (who to be fair has gone on to have a fantastic career outside of F1) helped build a tolerance for dross!  At least with Kubica and Russell there is some excitement, a real talent who maybe still has most of his ability after injury and the F2 champion.

Here's the latest countdown teaser that people are going off to guess the livery...

And as happens in the world of the internet, the new sponsor is supposedly a firm called Rokit.  Why?  Because they followed Williams on Twitter, obviously  :tease:

I have my paint tin at the ready!!!

Hey, I followed Williams on Twitter, so can I be on the car???

I'm not fussy, I would be happy with "THATSCOTTISHGUYWHOMOVEDTOWESTERNCANADAANDISASUCKERFORTHINGSF1.COM"

Do I have a chance of getting that sticker on the 2019 nose of the Williams? ... I'd even settle for the Halo, so long as it gets in the way of the onscreen broom broom graphics??

Cal :)

I know something you don't know!!! (delivered in an eight year old signing voice).

Yes, I have an early release of the 2019 Williams Livery and new Aero.  Apparently Williams are torn between two setups, one for raw power and one for raw pace ...

Sorry Luke, I will do my best to keep it under my hat, but hope I haven't spoiled the Monday morning reveal?

Best Regards,
Cal :)

I'll let you off this one time!

Even although it's old news, I still refuse to believe that Martini are walking away from Williams as the main Sponsor.  It leaves me shaken up, but I won't add salt to the wound by stirring the pot.

I'll probably be 6 months into the 2019 season and still ask "Williams ... and WHO?"  :D

Best Regards,
Cal :)
