While I think of it, another thing to mention regarding the F1 Dream Team is, it won't take up much of your time, as you choose your Teams/Drivers from around the pre-season testing to a set date before the green light in Australia.  The only other time you would need to be involved, is during the Summer Break, where you can change 1 team and 1 driver - that's it.

So, in that respect, it wouldn't get in the way of your Grid Game Predictions competition, as that is a very different system/approach to the F1 Dream Team.

Hope this helps?

Best Regards,
Cal :)

I voted yes as well Cal.  You can put me down for it...though my participation might scare others away based on my past few years at the GG.

Many thanks for your support/interest Scott, I have added you to the Provisional List on the 1st page of this topic, cheers!!

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Update:

If we fail to reach 10-12 interested GPW members for the F1 Dream Team by Monday, 14th January, then I will go ahead and code the website for 1 F1 community.   However, I won't leave the members who have shown interest, out in the cold.  I will include you in the 2019 run and will post news/race updates here on GPW!

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Yes! ... I can exercise the rule that sends 5,000 points in your direction, but I will be later found of breaching Article 28,41,91b, Section 17c, Sub-Section 4, Para 3, Rule 198,174-14d ... so basically, what I am saying, is I would be removing 6,000 points from your total, as you know how it goes in F1, the driver pays for Team Errors!!  :D :DD :( :DntKnw: |-(

Cal :)

Hi folks!

I would like to thank the 4 members who are looking to join the F1 Dream Team.  I will start coding tomorrow, so it now looks like I will only be setting things up for the existing F1 community, which I have worked with over the past 3 years.   I still welcome interest from GPW members, but it will now be structured around a single F1 community, not "site v site".

Best Regards,
Cal :)

There may only be 4 of us, but we're a high calibre bunch.  Like the Mercedes compared to the Williams McLarens of the other sites  ;)

Update:

Hi folks!

Just to let you know that I am now at the "Count Me In!" stage on the other F1 community forum.  I will share pertinent information regarding the F1 Dream Team with 'both' communities, but right now, it's simply a head count on both websites, while I carry out updates (structure/design/data) behind the scenes.

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Latest News: (Shared Info)

Q: When am I able to choose my Dream Team selections?

I will be looking to "OPEN" the selection process on 18th February, 2019. Whether you have a firm idea of your choices at this point, or would prefer to wait until after pre-season testing, it's entirely up to you. You will be able to make your finalised Dream Team choices between 18th February > 8th March, 2019 (9th > 11th March for 'Reserved' Players).

As with the 2018 season, I am looking at a maximum of 20 players from the external site, so the "Count Me In!" timeline will conclude on 11th February, 2019. If we reach 20 players by this point, I will automatically add interested players to the "Reserved List" ... should any Potential Players not submit their Team/Driver selections by 8th March, we will include Players from the "Reserved List" in order of posts.

The first paragraph above, will be included in the 2019 "Group Picks" Q&A section of the website.

Best Regards,
Cal :)
