Not that surprising, the only thing I am surprised about is that it took the teams this long to find their voices on the matter.  I could only imagine the 'major' team mentioned would be Mercedes.  The F1 of today whilst built on the British racing spirit is very much an international sport employing people from whole world and no doubt mostly paying out in dollars.

But given how little the government cares about F1 here, I imagine this is a largely pointless exercise.

Don't get me started on this topic in general though  ::)

I bet Vettel wishes the WDC was run by British politicians that way he could get them to do a re-run of the season to get the result he really wanted  ;)

Government v EU v F1 ... what could possibly go wrong???

Whatever happens, you have to believe that Mercedes will come out the other side .... unphased (don't know what that's coming up as a typo??? - even tried "unphazed" .... yup, still typo).

Best Regards,
Cal :)

This site is really refreshing, I thought this topic might cause the sort of silliness that politicians & mainstream media are obsessively & endlessly dishing out. I'd be too fearful to join in as it's such a frenzied shitstorm in Britain.

Well imagine my surprise to find over half the posts are either about spelling or Swedish pop music.  :D

My faith in GPW representing the person on the fabled Clapham omnibus is alive and well.  :yahoo: :yahoo:

Unphased is what you are when Captain Kirk shoots at you & misses.

In all honesty, this is the "vibe" I feel when I move around GPW.  The members here strike me as a well balanced, mature and I should say, educated group of individuals.   Certain topics I've touched on, are discussed without any negativity, prejudice or superiority ... and I am fortunate that you all digest my remarks in the fashion that they are intended - that's the main ingredient to what brings me back to GPW (to say what's on your mind, without people being judgemental, over sensitive, over patriotic etc).

Best Regards,
Cal :)

Many forum's I've seen delete or have warning about posts
that don't stay on topic. I always considered replies were like having
a conversation which don't, may get off topic and may or may not get back on topic. Forums are for fun :D
