Looks good though, but reports of F1 race in Philippines seem wide of mark on this evidence.

I don't recall Tilke ever doing a track that was up to F1 standards.  ;)

I thought the track in Turkey was pretty good, probably the best he has done. Certainly the double curve at the end of the pit straight in China has produced some interesting racing. Generally though he has failed with most of his projects.

It would seem to be so easy to design a new track when given a completely barren piece of land. There are so many tracks in the world - surely all a designer needs to do is copy the best bits of several tracks and link them together in a new circuit. Most importantly the new design must retain the physical limitations that make all good racing circuits (not huge expanses of tarmac painted different colours!!).
I do like the fact that they are considering other motor sports. By offering a drag strip and CIK circuit they should be able to help the commercial success of the venue.
