Gives me a bit of a weird idea... I suppose that quite a lot of an F1 car can be 3d printed. Given how much of the car is brand new from weekend to weekend, it might reach a point where the FIA just packs up a half dozen printers, and teams 'print' their cars fresh for each race weekend rather than shipping complete cars and parts stores around the world.
Scott:
A 3D printer of that scope is probably as big as a car to begin with, but the after print refining shop you’d have to send along, it would be less transport to do it the way they are now.
