Bold Predictions for 2019 – "The Firsts"
« on: February 26, 2019, 12:48:07 AM »
Thought this would be an interesting way to start the season ...

1]   Which newcomer to the grid in 2019 will be first to finish in the points?
2]   Without race retirement, which “technically” Number #2 driver will finish ahead of Number #1 driver?
3]   Which teammates will be the first to “exchange heated words” in the 2019 season?
4]   Who will be the first driver to retire from the race in Australia?
5]   Which team will be the first to land a podium finish (after Mercedes/Ferrari & Red Bull).
6]   Who (if any) will be dropped from their race seat in 2019?
7]   Which team will be the first to mess up a pit stop (tyres not ready, jammed gun etc).
8]   Who will be the first to make contact with their teammate?
9]   Can you predict a fluke result, where a newcomer lands a podium finish?
10]   Which team will be the first to make an official complaint against another driver/team?

Best Regards,
Cal :)

1]   Which newcomer to the grid in 2019 will be first to finish in the points?  Kvyat, (if he's still considered a newcomer this season) if not Albon
2]   Without race retirement, which “technically” Number #2 driver will finish ahead of Number #1 driver? Albon
3]   Which teammates will be the first to “exchange heated words” in the 2019 season?  RBR
4]   Who will be the first driver to retire from the race in Australia?  Giovinazzi
5]   Which team will be the first to land a podium finish (after Mercedes/Ferrari & Red Bull).  Renault - Ricciardo
6]   Who (if any) will be dropped from their race seat in 2019? None
7]   Which team will be the first to mess up a pit stop (tyres not ready, jammed gun etc). Alfa
8]   Who will be the first to make contact with their teammate?  MaaaaaaaaaaX!!!!
9]   Can you predict a fluke result, where a newcomer lands a podium finish?  Albon
10]   Which team will be the first to make an official complaint against another driver/team?  No one will formally protest, but Haas will write for clarification on something about Racing Point.
*Late addendum - we may see someone questioning the legality of Ferrari and Renault wing mirrors, both are using a unit within a unit not one piece according to tech observers.

1]   Norris - McLaren has turned the proverbial corner and will put Honda behind them
2]   Perez... I assume that Stroll is the number one driver in a team his family owns.  In terms of serious competition, I'm picking LeClerc to defeat Vettel
3]   Max and Gasly
4]   Kvyat - too much to prove with an engine that won't stand up to it
5]   Alfa Romeo - Kimi has gone from paycheque collector to race car driver, and it's the team that's making the difference. They've got a winning culture, and it will pay off.
6]   Gasly - one bump with Max and he's OUTTA THERE.
7]   Williams - it's been a long time since we've seen a team this unprepared to race in F1.
8]   RBR - it will be Gasly's fault.  Just kidding, it will be Max's fault, but no one will blame him (and lead to an undeserved demotion for Gasly)
9]   Norris - McLaren is finally a racing team again.
10]   RBR - does it count if they complain about Gasly?  If not... then RBR and Kimi for not jumping out of Max's way

1]   Which newcomer to the grid in 2019 will be first to finish in the points? Norris. I hope McLaren will make a come bacck.
2]   Without race retirement, which “technically” Number #2 driver will finish ahead of Number #1 driver? Perez
3]   Which teammates will be the first to “exchange heated words” in the 2019 season? Max & Gasly
4]   Who will be the first driver to retire from the race in Australia? Max. The question is will the Honda last long enough for him to hit somebody.
5]   Which team will be the first to land a podium finish (after Mercedes/Ferrari & Red Bull). I'll go with my heart & say Haas.
6]   Who (if any) will be dropped from their race seat in 2019? Perez, after he out-finishes Lance
7]   Which team will be the first to mess up a pit stop (tyres not ready, jammed gun etc). Sadly, Haas. Need to bring the NASCAR crew over.
8]   Who will be the first to make contact with their teammate? Max, of course.
9]   Can you predict a fluke result, where a newcomer lands a podium finish? Probably Norris
10]   Which team will be the first to make an official complaint against another driver/team? Racing Point.
