Alone on chat this morning, I thought I would make notes as the race progresses...

3DNF's - Hulk, Kvyat and Norris.  At least they gave him a lot of experience laps.

Kvyat did not deserve a drive through penalty in my opinion.  Both he and Norris had a moment in that corner and they collided with Sainz caught in the middle.  Pure racing.  Sorry Norris and Sainz took the worst of it, but outside line on a crowded corner is never a safe place to be.

Leclerc...brilliant start, although in Vettel's defence, Bottas effectively blocked what would have been a fast start for Sen as well.  He wasn't able to pull away from Vettel, so the team had to pull out orders imo.  Some sort of communication issue when Vettel didn't immediately pass him.  The team order and tire strategy change did in effect ruin Leclerc's race.  I don't think he deserved that though.  He could have done at least as well as Vettel had he stayed in front.

I like the little inside front winglets on the Alfa...look like eyelashes from the in-car.

10 laps to go now and 10-20 second gaps between cars 4th-7th.  Snore...only race shaping up for the last 10 laps is going to be Ricciardo defending his 7th place from Perez and Kimi.  7 laps to go and nobody even in DRS range.  Probably have the finishing order now unless someone blows up.  At the moment Vettel has FL.

They should ditch China as a race.  The track layout does not promote much passing.

For those of you who slept in or didn't bother staying up late, it was a good choice...the race is shaping up to be pretty boring.

A few people on chat, Timmy and Julie with Luke lurking because he was 20 laps behind.  For my first chat of the year, it was a bit thin of members, but it was an ideal time for me and probably not for others.

The Honey Badger doesn't give a...
