Big Aero Changes for 2021.

The new rules will apparently allow ground effects to return to F1. Oh and front "fenders" too.

These changes may not happen though as there are many other changes, moving the cars toward spec racing that Braun expects the teams will not like. Nothing is set in stone yet.

Does anybody (other than Liberty & Ross) want F1 to turn into a spec racer series? I always had great respect for Ross Brawn but I think he's way off the mark on this one.

That is a good question.  When Mosley arranged a cost cap, F1 had, I believe, 6 owners interested in joining the sport.  They only selected three, who got hosed when the cost cap never happened.

So, it's possible that there are potential owners waiting in the wings to see if this is going to happen or not.

Of course, I agree that it's short sighted for the teams to run identicallish cars just to save a few dollars.
