  • These changes may not happen though as there are many other changes, moving the cars toward spec racing that Braun expects the teams will not like. Nothing is set in stone yet.

    That is a good question.  When Mosley arranged a cost cap, F1 had, I believe, 6 owners interested in joining the sport.  They only selected three, who got hosed when the cost cap never happened.

    So, it's possible that there are potential owners waiting in the wings to see if this is going to happen or not.

    Of course, I agree that it's short sighted for the teams to run identicallish cars just to save a few dollars.
