Haas keep their driver lineup

I honestly thought they would try something different. Both drivers have under performed this year as far as I can tell.  Would have been nice to give someone else a chance. Or maybe Haas are simply admitting that their car is indeed that bad.

It surprises me, too. I thought that Grosjean was a goner at least.

In the official announcement, Guenther seems to say that the car is to blame for this year's problems:

I've always believed that Haas himself believes in loyalty, perhaps to a fault.  Grosjean and K-Mag took a chance on Haas, and it seems he's grateful for it.

Maybe not the BEST way to run an F1 team, but I can respect it for sure.

I don't know if any available drivers could have gotten better performances from the Haas (disregarding points lost through contact I suppose).  It's also possible that up and coming drivers don't want to join a team that isn't progressing.

I'd venture to suggest that KMag has a year left on his contract anyway so why pay him off and Wrecker Romain comes a lot cheaper than any other experienced F1 driver - especially Hulk.

There's a spare seat at Williams!

Might be worth the Hulk taking a gamble on that.  I'd like to think Williams still have the capacity to come good sooner or later with that Mercedes engine. And I hope it is sooner...

Not sure how much sponsor money the Hulk brings. I get the impression that's a deal breaker for Williams.

I think trading either driver at Haas for Hulk is not much more than an even trade, so why bother?  Better to keep the guys who know the car and team.

I thought I heard Danny Ric was leaving Renault to move to HAAS next season.
He would be a hell of a step up from Grosjean.

I thought Hulk was going to Haas and after watching
Singapore he should be replacing Gros

From what I understand, Haas offered and the Hulk refused.

I wonder if there's a driver management issue. If so it neatly explains both why the current pairing doesn't work and why Haas is struggling to get anything that works better for it.
