John Andretti has passed away

John Andretti, son of Aldo Andretti, nephew of Mario Andretti, cousin of Michael Andretti, has passed away after fighting colon cancer.

John may not have made it to F1, but it's about the only series he didn't see success in. He won in IndyCar, he won in NASCAR, Sports Cars, competed in drag racing.  He was the first racer to attempt 'Double Duty':  racing the Indy 500 and NASCAR Coca Cola 600 in the same day.

It must be hard to be a talented driver who's always in the shadow of his famous family. RIP John, ya done good.
