  • Wizzo: GPW will be down from approximately 13:30 tomorrow until the migration to the new server is complete. Once the site is "live" on the new server it could take another 24-48 hours to become accessible to all users.

2020

OK! Ferrari launches their car next week, the first test is 2 weeks off. Anyone have any thoughts, questions, or predictions for the new season. I wonder if Merc can maintain a performance level to enable Lewis to win a 7th championship. I also wonder if Renault can provide Daniel with a car worthy of his skills. Last, will Res Bull actually put Max in a car that can win a WDC? What do you think?

Also can Ferrari get their act together for a tilt at the title?

But more to the point can Williams qualify in anywhere but 19th & 20th on merit this year?   :DntKnw:

Between continent wide fires, health emergencies, ongoing track construction and governmental human rights abuses, will we actually have a record number of races in 2020?

China is on the verge of being cancelled due to the viral outbreak there. They asked Russia to swap dates and Russia said no.

Think they are only looking to postpone Chinese GP, problem is re-scheduling in a crowded season.
So you may be right Jeri we may not have a record number of races.
We'll still have plenty to enjoy this year I'm sure.

The teams should be looking forward to the long break between Vietnam and the Dutch gp to apply upgrades. I don't see how they can re schedule, plans are made, ads are in place and huge amounts of  cash is already spent by all the other organizers.

Can’t see Viet Nam going forward either.  If the  virus isn’t stopped or vaccined soon, international air travel is going to be scaled way back.

About the only way to reschedule would be to go without spectators, like Bahrain. Like many fans, I used to make my hotel reservations for the USGP a year in advance.
