How many races
« on: July 05, 2020, 11:29:36 PM »
How many races are in the 2020 season.  I thought I had read 10
but only 8 are listed

From my limited knowledge on the subject, there are 8 'confirmed', and the rest are still in negotiation. They're hoping to have 15, with the season ending in December.

I thought I read all the Asian races have cancelled. With he
way we've handled the virus I can't see a US race    and Mexico's
cases are rises

Eight is the minimum number for championship.
I have read that The America's are out of the question due to the way they are dealing with C-19 although that includes Canada I think they maybe the exception but have already cancelled.
China, Vietnam, Italy, Mugello, Imola, Portimao in Portugal, and Hockenheim have been mentioned remembering that any of these could be doubled up.
I'm sure I have heard that for the two Silverstone races there'll be different sets of tyres for each of the two races to spice things up. If that is the case then expect it again at double headers.
Once you have retired every day is a Saturday!

The main European block has been confirmed; the rest are either juggling venues or dates, according to a combination of COVID-19, payment and logistics concerns. Mugello and Portimao, I think, are having a race but don't yet have a confirmed date, which is why they don't (yet) appear on the calendar.

Further dates will be added as they are confirmed.
