LED Lights

Watching Bahrain Quali and noticed small LED lights on top of all the air boxes going purple as they enter the pit then turning green. What are these?

I can't say I noticed them.  If they changed colours when the car entered the pitlane, then it might be part of the FIA GPS/tracking system, with visible diagnostic lights.

If it changed colours as the cars entered the garages/pit boxes, it's probably a warning light to do with electrical systems and risk for touching a car that might not be safely grounded.

These lights indicate the state of electrical charge in the car you will see three different colours and if its red it warns everyone to not touch the car as it could be live even the drivers if stopping on track have to jump clear so they do not earth the car.
