Alex Albon to DTM
« on: January 05, 2021, 03:37:35 PM »
Alex Albon will drive for Red Bull in 2021 - just not in F1.

Albon will drive for the Red Bull entry in the DTM series. The article sounds like he will still be the test & reserve driver for RBR F1. At least he can still race on a regular basis & hopefully keep his skills sharp.

Think you're right Cos, this is about keeping him race sharp. If Perez fails to deliver Red Bull will need Alex for either RBR or AT in 22.

I really thought that Red Bull was going to try something new and actually develop a driver.

I guess this is a little 'new'.

Still, if Albon puts in a strong DTM start, and Perez refuses to play Max's game, we might see more musical chairs at Red Bull.
