Haas Rolls Out New Livery & Sponsors
« on: March 04, 2021, 03:14:21 PM »
Saving the best for last, here's the Haas VF-21. And, yes, Lonnie, it has white roundels for the numbers!  ;)

New sponsor 1&1 is a direct result of the arrival of Mick Schumacher. He will serve as the brand ambassador for the German telcom.

Seriously, I think this is Haas's best livery yet.

Good job from Haas.  :good:

Big influence from their new Mazepin money I guess, and why not. Still not as bad as painting your car pink to please a sponsor.  :D

Kinda reminiscent of Williams Rokit era paint scheme, but then with 10 teams bound to be overlap sometimes. Often wonder if Ferrari would kick off if another team painted their cars all red? :DntKnw:

Well back in the '80's both Alfa and Macca were done in Marlboro colors. In the '50's Alfas, Ferraris and Maseratis were all red.  :DntKnw:

It seems the World Anti Doping (WADA) are looking into Haas because Mazepin is forbidden to use the Russian Flag with his name. Oopsie?

Hass has replied that it does not stop them using the colours of the Russian flag.

Wonder if WADA can force them to change the livery or drop Mazepin?

As far I can see the car could be deemed to be carrying US, British, French or Russian colours by being red, white & blue. There are also many more other counties with them colours as their flag.

Also can't see how WADA can say that Mick Schumacher cant drive around with the livery on the car. Looks like a can of worms could be opened if they try to ban Haas paint scheme.

When I saw the red, white & blue, I thought of American colors.

I think Mazepin is going to be listed as an "independent athlete." I doubt there is any rush to worry about what flag & anthem to use if he wins.

How badly off are Haas that all these headaches are worth fighting to have Mazepin?

Is this a 'rebound' relationship after Rich Energy?

At least Ural Kali are likely to pay up Jeri unlike other so called rich rogues.

It sadly happens too often to low budget teams. SS United's failure to pay pretty much spelled the end of Super Aguri.

I liked what Paul Stoddard did at Minardi when sponsors failed to pay up. He just stamped a big, red "NOT PAID" sticker across their name on the car.
