I loved her. She was smart, funny, and very talented. I posted a hilarious video of her driving a mini van at the 'Ring, passing all kinds of sports cars. It's here somewhere. 51 is far, far too young. RIP Sabine Schmitz.

So sad we've lost 'The Queen of Nurburgring', RIP Sabine.

So sad, she was such a talent and a seemingly real and genuine human.

A sad loss, and, again, far too young.

She grew up in Nürburg and could handle the Ring with the best of them. Here she talks about sneaking her mother's BMW on to the Ring before she was old enough to get a driving license. She tells the story with the kind of humor that made her equally as enjoyable to watch telling a story or driving a car.

R.I.P Sabine, what a fantastic driver she was, I've watched that lap at the Nurburgring so many time, I have been in awe every time.
