Midland deny they are 'for sale'

The Midland Formula One team have insisted the team are not for sale after doubts over their future.
Midland have struggled so far in their first season since replacing the old Jordan team, bought last season.

"Over the past week there have been a number of speculative rumours published in the media, none of which has any basis in fact," said the statement.

"Midland Group has confirmed the team is not for sale and there are no proposals that this should change."

Midland said there had been various approaches for the team, with 22 contenders applying for just 12 slots in the 2008 F1 championship when the entry deadline expired last month, but they had rejected all of them.
