10 Best Lotuses (Loti?)
« on: October 08, 2021, 03:57:30 AM »
Remember when Lotus was the leader in F1 design and Technology? When a new Lotus could make the competition obsolete? AutoSport lists the 10 best Lotus F1 cars. They ranked them by wins and championships. Do you agree?

I'd swap the 49 to P1 & the 72 to P3. I'd also move the 12 up higher than P9.

Honorable mention to the Lotus 7 - a late 50's F1 car built for the street.

I have always been a fan of the 25/33, a very tidy car that won a lot of races. I would go 49, 33, 79, 72.

I'd go 25 all day long as it was Clark's machinery and first monocoque, I'd also put 78 ahead of 79 as it was the first genius iteration of the same concept.

Full top 5 list:- 25, 78, 72, 79, 49.
