Notes from Quali
« on: November 20, 2021, 10:24:09 PM »
Ferrari has discovered LeClerc's chassis is cracked. They will change it overnite. Is this enough to explain his lack of pace compared to Sainz? Speaking of Sainz, he, Max and Bottas are all being investigated for failure to slow for yellow flags at the end of Q3. Max in in more trouble as he faces being under double yellow flags while Sainz and Bottas were only under single yellow flags.

Thought they'd changed the rule for Yellow flags on Quali laps and will disregard any lap set when a yellow is out in a sector run through.

Can't understand then why they don't all abort lap as soon as yellow sector ahead - Although I guess drivers hope the yellow is withdrawn, as it often is before they get there, meaning they keep the boot in.

Max got a 5 place ding on the grid for a double yellow flags violation. Bottas lost 3 places for a single waived yellow violation.

Didn't affect Max much, but combined with a really poor start, it killed Bottas.
