Gil De Ferran

2 time CART Champion and 2003 Indy 500 winner Gil De Ferran died following a massive heart attack. Gil was only 56. He was Team Manager at BAR and Sporting Director at McLaren in addition to his driving career. He was returning to McLaren as a consultant next season. My deepest sympathy to his wife and 2 children.

He was entertaining to watch race and a great presence in the sport.

I'm sure he meant the world to his friends and family and will be missed.
