Haas Cuts K-Mag
« on: July 19, 2024, 05:49:56 PM »
Haas has announced that Kevin Magnussen won't be back for the 2025 season:

I'm really disappointed in this. The word is that Ocon is in line to replace him.

Most F1 drivers (in the last decade or so), I've felt could win races in the right equipment, and perhaps even challenge for championships with the right team (and teammate).

I never felt that about K-Mag.  He does seem to have been a good fit for what Haas was trying to do though.  I think they're trying to do something different now though.

I hope he finds something rewarding for the next phase of his career!

Better drivers have lost their seats than Mag.

Maybe Haas should send a feeler to Saenz. He deserves a seat somewhere.

I think Marko needs to use his head and put Sainz under
contract

I wonder how Haas' newly renewed Ferrari deal would have played into that.

Bye Bye KMag, don't let the slamming door catch your arse on the way out.  |-(

For me this sacking is at least a year too late.  :P
