Maybe the stewards saw it differently but they said Lewis could
have did more to avoid the collision is why Max received no penalty

I'm puzzled how the Stewards came to that conclusion as LH left room for MV which is the requirement the fact that MV had too much speed and couldn't take the corner was his error.
LH saying it was a racing incident was probably MV's saving grace!

I'm deffo on the Stewards side on this, Lewis continued to hold his steering input when it was clear Max's car was right beside him.
Not sure how Lewis thought he could pull a cut back until Max's car was clear of him, so it was either old age making his inputs slower, or more likely he was trying to ensure that Max had to give more room by physically moving him.

It was still a case of MV locking up as he had too much speed and LH left him room up the inside and was turning right as its a corner where you turn right.
Its easy for us armchair drivers to analyse these events but it all happening in a couple of seconds and they are old hands at what they do and what they think they can get away with.
I also feel that LH is like a red flag to a bull with MV.

Andy you are right of course about Max's lunge causing his big lock up making the real problem, however I stick with my assertion that either Lewis reaction times are slowing with age or he chose to stay turning with a car seriously close beside him.
Of course its easy after all these events to play armchair pundit, in fairness though we were discussing the stewards response which is also done with a hindsight view.
You're on the money that LH is certainly more bullish around MV. ;)
