Ever wonder how they got those great driver
shots in the past

The driver's view might be a tad limited.

I'll bet the mid engine car was much more comfortable on a hot afternoon.

And now they've got those fabulous gimbal mounted cameras that let us see the angle of track banking, with no shake whatsoever.

Not sure who's the braver in F1 at that time; drivers of that era, or the clearly adventurous - nay CRAZY - cameramen.   :D

Photographers are lowkey crazy.  Ever see an elephant, lion or shark charge a camera?  There's a human being behind that camera, standing in harms way just so we can sit on our couches snacking and thinking 'wow, that's a scary animal'

The VERY FIRST movie was a train coming straight at a camera.  It was handcranked!  Someone stood in front of a speeding train, with no guarantees things would work out.
