Points difference: Lando vs Max

So we have 6 races left and 52 points separate Lando and Max.

I was curious how close Lando could get if he aced the next 6 races, winning them all, including the sprint races, and gaining the point for fastest lap.

Unfortunately for him, Lando can only gain 51pts on Max...

(7pts difference for the win + 1pt for fastest lap = 8pts per race * 6 races = 48 pts. In addition 3 sprint races with 1pt difference for the win = 3pts. Total: 51pts)

I realise this would be a very unlikely outcome, but those missed team order opportunities for McLaren might yet come back to haunt them...

The calculation does depend on Lando winning and Max finishing second.  While I feel Lando winning all the remaining races is a long shot, Max finishing on the podium for the remainder of the season also feels unlikely.

Max has a big advantage, and Lando has a lot of pressure.  I don't know that McLaren is going to regret their decisions if Lando does finish second by a handful of points.  Providing even handed strategy as a team culture is probably better for long term success.  And they've got the WCC all but locked up.  RBR shows that putting all your eggs in one basket is risky.

Pie in the Sky for either Lando to close the gap sufficiently or for McLaren regrets.

Think it's far more likely Oscar will close the gap to Lando by more than Lando can to Max.

If Lando would win 2 races and Max would have 2 dnf's he'd catch him. One is possible the other highly unlikely
