Will Audi F1 sell out before they even hit the track?
« on: November 11, 2024, 04:12:25 PM »
They changed the engine rules just to get Audi in and now rumours of withdrawal has started before they even get in.

Joe Saward's thoughts (below) cause more questions than answers, and Autosport adds to the mix with possible scenarios - or is that solutions?  :D

"Elsewhere in the paddock we are expecting news of a reshaping of the ownership of Sauber in the run up to the Qatar GP, with the logical conclusion being that the country – which owns a significant percentage of Volkswagen (Audi’s parent) – will take control of the team, to ease Audi’s pain. Whether this will change the team name remind to be seen. We also need to find out if Audi will press on with its engine programme."

Extract from Joe Saward blog 'Green Notebook from the Fogo de Chão' 5th Nov 24.
