Does Briatore believe Colapinto is another F1 hot shoe like Schumi & Alonso?

Lots of rumours of Colapinto displacing someone under contract.  Certainly he would be a good bet based on his racing at Williams.  Bad luck for Doohan, hasn't been able to show what he can do.

Maybe F1 needs to give more opportunity to rookies than just a couple practice sessions.  If the drivers really don't want a 24 race schedule, maybe drivers can only do 22 maximum and be required to use an understudy at least twice a season.

Alianora La Canta:
Flavio believes Colapinto is the "in" driver (he was like this towards Sainz for the fortnight before he signed for Williams). Nothing more.

I recall a rule back in the early 2000's (while Jaguar had a team) that offered an incentive for teams to allow a reserve driver to run in FP1. I think it was something like gaining more on-track testing time, or maybe allowing the team's T car to take part in FP1. I know T cars aren't likely to return but maybe some kind of incentive like this could help.

I am hopeful that as the sport continues its success, that the billion dollar teams might start to open the purse strings and bring back some of the missing elements of the sport.  Having a T car ready after a big crash takes pressure off drivers and mechanics.

It would also encourage reserve/test drivers to be more meaningful to the sport.  (I've heard that the test drivers spend a lot of time in the simulators, but then I also hear that the simulators are imperfect)
