Cadillac/Andretti team to use Ferrari engines on F1 26 debut

(1/1)

John S:
Cadillac/Andretti have signed a deal to buy Ferrari engines and gearboxes as a customer until its own PU is on stream, which is not expected to be before 2028.

This means Ferrari will continue to have two customer teams in 2026 despite losing Sauber to Audi's own factory entry PU.

Jericoke:
Interesting that the two American teams will be the Ferrari customers.

Even though Ferrari would like to win themselves, having Cadillac-Ferrari (assuming they use the Ferrari name, not mentioned in the article) put together some wins would be a good boost in the American market.

I doubt they will say anything about Ferrari. The word Mercedes doesn't appear anywhere on an Aston Martin F1 car (or on the team website).

For Caddy, Ferrari will be like that one uncle that nobody in the family ever talks about.  ;)
