F1 Liveries Launch

(1/1)

Andy B:
As I have now seen the line up of who's on this "Show" I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket but we can watch it from the luxury of our own homes as it seems it is due to be streamed live by many broadcasters including: - Sky, F1 TV and You Tube.
Its a two hour show starting at 2000 GMT, that's 0900 on Wednesday here in NZ, I'm going to be out but am recording it so I can fast forward the "Entertainment".

What's your take on this?
Are you expecting anything special from it?
I expect, Ferrari will be red, Aston Martin will be green, Red Bull will be blue, need I go on?

lkjohnson1950:
There are a couple teams who aren't locked in to a color like Ferrari is. Though I doubt there will be anything radical, Haas, Williams, or Alpine might surprise. Even McLaren has made changes in the past.

John S:
I haven't watched the show, I don't pay for SKY Sports in the off season. However from what I have seen online this morning the only surprise is Racing bulls has gone for predominantly white.
 - Oh and Ferrari have added big splashes of white too.

Otherwise most seem to be a half hearted B spec livery of last year's effort.   :lazy:

Robem64:
Couldn't have summed it up better than John S above.........for all the razamatazz of the event the car liverys were underwhelming.

The fact some cars had been on track for filming days prior and making a big thing of not being the launch livery it was a case for me of spot the difference when the launch car was displayed.

Jericoke:
I'm a tad surprised no one did anything special for the f1 75th anniversary.

Sure, teams are locked in with sponsors or historic liveries, but the Racing Bulls team has had some very eye catching designs in the past, and Mercedes had a chance to change their look while moving away from the Hamilton era.

I do think that Racing Bulls and Mercedes had the best looking cars, but you don't get the full effect until they're in daylight, or under the lights.
