A really good read, John S. Thanks! That's also the first time I've seen one on its own not attached to a car. It was interesting to see how it attaches.

Good one John. I wasn't a fan of the Halo when it was introduced, but it has certainly saved lives. Anybody ever see a pic of Zhou's helmet after his crash? I wonder if he made any contact with the pavement. The roll post did not do it's job.

I never had a problem with the concept of the halo.  I agreed it was ugly, but necessary.  Even though I think it still looks out of place, watching older pre halo race footage, I feel terrified for the drivers being so exposed!

The Sauber roll hoop on Zhou's car was up to regulation, the regulation was not a good one.
