JYS in his Tyrell 006 at Bahrain GP, probably it's his final run in F1 car

(1/1)

John S:
Good on you Jackie for showing that us old uns can still drive performance cars at age 85.  :good:

Wonder what souped up vehicle someone might loan me for a joyous drive in 10 years time.  ;) :DD

Oh and look they could see properly in the mirrors of F1 cars back in the 70s.  :D

Jericoke:
We can always debate about the 'best' racers of all time, but I think we can agree that of all F1 champions, none of them are a more decent human being than Sir Jackie.  (I'll accept arguments that others are equally decent, but none more so.)

It's so rare to see someone who just brings enthusiasm to life, and is willing to share that enthusiasm for life with others, and then focus that enthusiasm to make the world a better place.

Apparently the Stewarts weren't sure if they should approach the Shumachers about getting Michael's signature, and Jackie didn't know if they'd get it or not until he saw it on the Helmet.

Andy B:
In Bahrain last year, on my competition win, we were in the same section of the Paddock Club as Sir Jacky and he was more than willing to chat and my son relayed a story where his son had mistaken someone to be Sir Jacky at The Goodwood Festival of Speed which he had a good chuckle at. It's actually a longer story but I'll not go into that.
A very pleasant man who has not become unapproachable.

Why did he need the safety car to lead him round?
He wouldn't have got lost?? LOL
