A little what you missed Jeri

Any time I find the time to watch Grand Prix, I don't have access to whatever streaming service it's on.  I should just buy the DVD and be done with it!

Go for it. I know my DVD has a bunch of excellent extra features on it.

When it first came out my Uncle Ev took me to the now long gone RKO Grand Theater in Columbus to see it in Cinerama. It was a system that used a huge, wrap-around screen and stereophonic sound. I was one totally blown away 6th grader!

I always smile when Brian Bedford's character says he always walks the circuit before the race. The Nürburgring and Spa were both over 14 miles long back then. I wonder how early he started his walk those mornings?  ;)

I seem to recall that the F1 community would do a run of the track as part of the weekend activities.  It was long enough ago that I remember pictures of Frank Williams in his short shorts doing it.

I'd hate to walk the old Nürburgring

I'd hate to walk any of the damn things.  :tease:

It's bad enough strolling round the whole outer path round Silverstone circuit when you can get a rest once in a while in a seat, or better still get a beer every quarter of the track.

After walking probably 2, 3 or even 4 miles from the car parking or camping grounds track walk is not on my list.  ;)
All the drivers and pit crews get ferried in to track entrance or beyond so they're nice & fresh :D
Oh! & most of them are a darn sight younger.  :-*
