New boys Cadillac likely to opt for experience in first year driver line up

John S:
Old timers preferred to hot prospects it seems.

Are they right though?

Jericoke:
Even though Perez finished his career languishing under Verstappen at RBR, his time at force India and Racing Point showed he knew how to succeed on a struggling team that was trying to make progress.

I don't know that Bottas brings that. He raced well at Mercedes, but seemed not to bring much to Sauber.  His experience being part of a winning organization might help.

Schumacher might be a better pick. Even though he hardly had a successful run at Haas, he knows what it's like to be in a struggling team, and he's had success elsewhere to boost his confidence.

John S:
My thinking Jeri is that Checo brings money/sponsorship & Valtteri brings the class.  :D

cosworth151:
Checo and Valtteri are the class of the field for the reasons you mention. I think Colton Herta might be a dark horse. He's a fine driver and Caddy might want an American driver with a name recognition among non F1 race fans over here.

Dare:
Checo for the money and Coltan for a US driver
